Life is gritty, messy, chaotic and imperfect. I want to remember every moment of it!

Our neighbors threw a neighborhood Christmas party. We are still getting to know everyone so it was the perfect time to hang out with the whole block in one spot. One moment was definitely a highlight. Normally at parties or group events I stay close to Tres to make sure he feels apart of the festivities. I had gone into the kitchen and started to get a drink and looked up to see Tres surrounded by a group of people. He was showing them how his ipad worked. Afterwards the group got into a discussion about Tres schooling and activities he participates in. I walked over to add to the conversation and they said ” Oh, he already told us about that.” It was a BIG moment for me. He was able to navigate and engage great conversation without me. I am so grateful for technology. With his ipad he truly is becoming independent. #inclusion #disabilityrights
