A Tribe Called Whitlock

The airport is the absolute best place to people watch. People rushing to catch their planes, families going through various levels of emotional hello’s and goodbye’s. Moms of small children already looking stressed before stepping foot on the plane. My favorite is the random conversations I have while waiting in the ticket line, boarding area or with the person sitting next to me on the plane. Most memorable on this trip was a man from South Africa who had lived all over the world. He had 6 children and his wife was a nurse too. I told him about our trip and he proceeded to tell me about the 16 birthday celebration he had for one of his daughters. His present to her was to take her on a trip around Europe! She apparently spent the whole time whining about the boyfriend she had to leave behind for 3 weeks! The conversation between he and I definetely made my 3 hour wait time go much faster.
