Life is gritty, messy, chaotic and imperfect. I want to remember every moment of it!

My son, Tres, had a vision two days ago of a city falling. I started praying even more than I already have been for our government. As Christ followers, whatever your mindset, the only King that matters is on His thrown. He has been DEMANDING our attention since the churches first closed last year. To CHANGE DIRECTIONS. Go back to our first love. To the original call. We fought to stay the same. We fought for our buildings. We fought for our self righteous opinions. We exposed ourselves by showing the priorities and the division of our fight. It has been hard to decipher between the light and the darkness of those professing the faith. But All is well.
The light that was supposed to brilliantly shine on America of Hope, Peace, Mercy, Freedom and Justice will never be hindered. Thank God it’s not up to us.
We can have peace in the midst of the chaos. The chaos of the past year and the future. We can have peace as the structures of man crumble. We can lie down and sleep deeply. The government is resting on the true King’s shoulders. The lion of Judah reigns, and He is ROARING.
We celebrate Epiphany this week. In the prayerful words of the Moravian Church:
Compassionate Lord, you call us to a higher standard than we have achieved. Therefore, we bow in honest confession of those thoughts, words, and deeds that have missed the mark. Within our families, we have loved imperfectly. Among sisters and brothers in the church, we have not fully walked in the light. Often our congregations have not reflected the rich diversity of people in our communities. In our witness to the world, our lives have not adequately testified to your redeeming power. Forgive us, gracious Lord, for permitting ourselves to be distracted from the goal of our discipleship. Heal the brokenness of our hearts and restore us to you, our first love. In Jesus name, Amen.
Amen so true beautifully written.
