Life is gritty, messy, chaotic and imperfect. I want to remember every moment of it!

Our leapard gecko Joey passed away in October. The kids held a special service for her outside. Maurice prepared a spot and we planted a flowering bush over her grave. It started to lightly rain just before we went inside and the kids spotted this rainbow. The felt for sure it was a sign from God letting them know He now had Joey. Talking about the death even of a leapard gecko is a hard concept for a 6 and 8 year old. I love the analogy of a butterfly. When it is a catapillar it’s just like our human body. When goes into a cacoon it undergoes a deep sleep. When it opens its eyes it more beautifull and amazing than when it had started out. At the right time, it pushes from the cacoon and flies into the heavens.
