Our leopard gecko, Joey, passed away in October. The kids held a special service for her outside. Maurice prepared a spot and we planted a flowering bush over her grave. It It started to rain lightly just before we went inside and the kids spotted this rainbow. They felt that it was a sign from God letting them know He now had Joey. Talking about the death even of a leopard gecko is a hard concept for a 6 and 8-year-old.  I love the analogy of a butterfly.  A caterpillar can be seen as a human body. When it goes into a cacoon, it undergoes a deep sleep. When it opens its eyes it has changed into an even more beautiful species than when it had started out. At the right time, it pushes from the cacoon and flies into the heavens.

Welcome! Legacy is everything to me. I created this blog as a reminder to my tribe of the story of us and my history with God. To my tribe, I know there will be mountains and valleys. Dark nights when you feel alone. In all my years, the one constant that has remained the same is the faithfulness of God. He always reminds me when I am going through battle, to remember our history.
