A Tribe Called Whitlock

Natalie has been a walking commercial the last few months. We can’t go into the store without her pointing to some item I need because it will make my hair shiny, teeth whiter, or my mopping easier. We can drive by subway and she will say, “Mom, can we please eat at Subway because when your there, there’s no such thing as no!” Sadly, she has been getting all her information from the comercials between her favorite preshool shows. So we had a talk about advertisements and what they are trying to accomplish. Now when she sees an enticing commercial she says, “Mom, there just trying to take our money!” Even with this new found wisdom, she cannot turn her mind away from Chuck-E-Cheeses. “We have to go mom, its where a kid can be a kid.” I can’t win them all.
